Get on Hwy 1 and head north through Sanford. Take the Jordan Lake Dam exit or the Pea Ridge Rd. exit. Or head North on Hwy 1, take 87 North from Sanford to Pittsboro then 64 East. Plenty of bank fishing oppurtunities and boat launches. Bank fishing from the Parkers Creek impoundment aint too bad.

is there a canoe or kyack entrance

No boating access for Parkers that I am aware of. I'm sure you can launch canoes and kayaks from Ebenezer (Pea Ridge), Crosswinds, Poplar Point (both Hwy 64), etc..

I wish I could be more help as I only fished there twice. There is a canoe/kayak launch from Robeson Creek. I don't remember where it is as I live in Chicago,Il. But I am sure you can find it on the Internet. ~JOE~
