That's a great tip too Capt. Butch! We will throw a "floater" out the back and put the rod in the holder and forget about it... if mahi are around.. they definately pick it up (we get the occasional shark or pesky remora).. but it's worth it when a mahi get's it.

I like a whole squid on a blood color'd J-hook 7/0, coming from the top of the squid, rig thru 2 x's and put the hook right between the eyes..
