I use to fish in a traditional bass boat but I decided to simplify my life so now fish in a Native 14.5 Kayak. I admit you cannot cover as much water but you can get many place a boat cannot. I'm in the Winston Salem area and anyone wantint to share some secret fishing holes  are welcome to contact me.:D

Welcome, welcome!

I am in the same boat as you, figuratively anyway. Downsized to a Heritage Marquesa 14' last year. Gas free, silent and deadly!

Many of the kayak crowd are at Fort Fisher today for a meet&greet organized by the KFNC yahoo group. (http://www.ncangler.com/forums/32/kfnc-meetngreet-fort-fisher-6-23-a-3557-new-post.html). My kayak got to go, but I'm working... I think there's a tournament tomorrow too hosted by Cape Fear Kayaks. They'll straggle back tomorrow/monday.

Take a look at the kayak fishing forums here on NCangler, particularly this thread: http://www.ncangler.com/forums/f56/my-fellow-kayakers-3659.html, as well as the NCangler Kayaker's map on the Quick Links pull down menu above (http://www.ncangler.com/index.php?page=yakermap). We would welcome your additon to the map...
