Called my buddy that owns Surf City Pier, and he reported that there were 15 Kings caught off the end last Saturday, and 12 lost. Sunday's count, as of 4 PM, was 8, and today (Monday), there were 3 caught, and one lost. And where the heck am I? Working! LOL I'll be down in a couple of weeks, hope the Pogies are still runnin the beach then.
Any reports from Seaview or Jolly Rogers?

Thanks Pier Dweller!

I just got a message from KingFishing05 (Sean) from Bogue Inlet Pier. Sean is the young man that came with me to the meet and greet at Dave's house. He and his brother Bryan teamed up to land a 20.5 pounder yesterday on Bogue Inlet Pier. I am sure that Sean will be posting a report as they are down there King fishing all this week.

And lets not forget the one that Topsail Angler and I boated on wednesday right off the end of the pier.

One thing I noticed is that saturday was the day the weather was so rough.( we were out 40 miles with wellcraft dave in 6 - 8 ft. seas with 14 mahi in the boat) and sunday was still turning pretty good but by wednesday the ocean was calm again. (looked like a lake). According to the catch report the nastier the weather the more fish were caught and each day the weather improved the catch went down. Is there a relationship between nasty weather and the fish bite?
