Still needing to learn more about catching fish on Lake Apalachia, going back in September or October. Anyone know the best fishing methods and baits that time of year?

Man I wish I could help you, but I'll bump your post. I can't say I've seen mention of it before, so it may not be one that a lot of people know enough about to post.

The state has been stocking brown trout into the lake.

Might try trolling for them.

I'm headed back to Lake Apalachia October 10-19 hoping to catch some more trout. I caught my trout in July by slow trolling crank baits. I know this lake is so remote that it gets hardly any fishing pressure at all, so first hand fishing advice is slow to come by. For those of you fishing other NC lakes for trout, do you use different methods for trout in October than you use in July?
