I grew up a mile from this lake. I wouldn't call it "great" fishing unless something has changed over the years. Lake Concord right down the road offered better fishing but it has been closed for some time now. If you're in the area, Lake Fisher could offer some decent fishing opportunities. Yea, I agree with you on the gas powered motors.
