I am going to be fishing Lake Gaston (for the first time) this weekend. Can anyone tell me where the hot spots are?

Sorry Glenn, never been up there, but curious about getting a Gaston habit started myself.

Are you renting a house, camping, staying with friends or buying/bought property?

I've always wanted to go up and have a look at some property for a weekend getaway estate, sort of like the Vanderbilts did with the Biltmore, only with more kayak fishing and less of everything else... Actually my wife is going up with friends for a day trip next week - fingers are crossed that she catches the bug (not likely - I think she's been immunized).

Actually, I am staying with family. The property that my sister bought and built a house on doubled in value in just three years. Things are happening up there...Good Luck.
