My brother and I weathered the cold last night from around 6:30pm until around 3am. A great friend of mine was kind enough to allow us to fish from his pier on the water.

Numbers were limited but managed to not get the skunk. Small cats on our bait rods and bait were all we produced. Bullhead, channel, white perch, bluegill. Great time but an extremely cold trip.

We used several baits: shrimp, chicken livers, nightcrawlers, live bait, cut bait.

Thanks for reading and good fishing! Thanks a ton to the man who made it happen!

Did you try any hot dogs?
Nope. That's one thing we didn't try. Nightcrawlers got a ton of attention but the fish were hard to hook....so small I guess. Shrimp also got a lot of attention but the fish would barely grab at the bait instead of taking the whole thing. Little frustrating. No worries.

I think I fished that spot once....the owner is a really nice guy

All my sons and I caught were panfish. I call it "the curse of moving water".

Try fishing under the railroad bridge.... Some decent catfish there.
