Put in a full day on Lake James yesterday. Windy, cloudy, drizzly and cold. Water temp around 71-72. Found breaking fish around main channel breaks that would hit our typical assortment of topwater lures (spook, jr, bone Sexy Dawg). To escape the cold and wind ran to the back of a few creeks and found them how you would expect it this time of year, full of shad, and fish. Caught a nice largemouth on a white buzzbait, and the rest of the fish on X-raps. Attached are a few pictures. Have to give credit to lil man in the pictures, that's my buddy's son and he stuck with us from 7:00 a.m. until we hit the house around 5:30...I'd say he's caught the fever!
