Fished Lake Jocassee on the border of North and South Carolina. Found good populations of smallmouth, spots, and largemouth about 35 - 45 feet down. Most fish were caught on the main lake near the mouths of major creeks. Wefocused on brushpiles and other major structure found with the Humminbird sounder. Dropshots and jigging spoons accounted for 75 percent of the bass however a few were caught trolling crankbaits. The thermocline is still around 65-70 feet deep so the focus would still be deep on the trout.

Tip: sometimes it pays to spend more time looking with your graph than fishing.

The migration to the back of the creeks will really become relevant with the colder days ahead. Some of the best jigging patterns of the year will be coming up the next couple of months.
