Reading the reports from Jordan has me wanting to try crappie fishing on Norman or Wylie.

Anyone here try that kind of fishing?

Got any tips?

I can not slow troll, will either have to anchor or drift

Crappie not my specialty but they have been catching them good, and nice ones at the allen plant hothole in belmont. (wylie). Short trip from southpoint boat launch. Hot bait seems to be flick tails with a crappie nibble attached.-stu

I may give it a shot on Sunday

I am guessing the fish are holding to the channel edges?

Be prepared to do it all that way your won't be disappointed

the more lines in the water the more of a chance to have a fish commit suicide.

Allen hothole would be north of southpoint landing. You drive over the canal on the rd. to the launch. Barry caught some from his yak last sun. Some of the guys on the bank there are pretty hardcore and they know some crappie fishin. You won`t get far up the discharge cause of people on the bank. Water is blocked off just past the pier anyway. Barry said ones he got were "near shore".
