Got out for a little while this evening before doing the Mothers Day thing. I'm thinking some of the bass are still protecting beds due to so many hits without hookups. I ended up landing several little guys and lost the biggest fish of the day when she jumped several times and threw the hook. She was 3-4lbs.

Yum Zellamander (junebug), Zoom trick worms (june bug & black), Zoom Mag Trick (green pumpkin) All these plastics produced fish with a 3/0 Gamakatsu EWG Carolina rigged.

Good luck fellas

I tried zoo trick work about 7:30pm than went topwater not a nibble or blowup

I also tried a topwater frog a few times with no luck. I didn't give it a lot of time due to the fact of me getting so many hits on other baits.
I got out for a bit on Saturday with no action..a few very light nibbles but no hookset..also tried the frog and buzzbait and nothing..maybe this weekend or next weekend they'll be ready to play :)

Let's hope so. I sure wish I would've landed that fat 3-4lb though. Partly my fault and partly circumstantial. That place is impenetrable without waders and when I hooked up with her I couldn't move my feet in that deep mud. If I would've been able to be a little more mobile I could've kept my rod tip a lot lower and kept her from jumping as much. Oh well.
