last weeks Bay River outing

So my buddies came out from Ohio to do some fishing with me. We rented a great little house off of ball creek that was on the water and had a dock for the boat. Well i didn't know what to expect sense the past two weekends of prior fishing was unsuccessful. The first day we headed out to the shoal which wasn't a good choice, it got rough so i decided to head the the place where i caught my first red and trout. So we started off throwing bettel spins and gulp pearl white with green tail shrimp under a cork and caught our limit of reds 3 in total. Came back out that evening and put on the top water mirror lures and caught 6 trout. Well sense that evening we went back out with top water in the morning and stuck with it all week. We only fished from 0530-1030 and then 1730-2000 that's where the bites was and it was great fishing. Caught or limit of reds every day mostly in the morning and then we never caught our 12 trout but did come close. The most we got to was 10 in a day of good keepers. The hot color thanks to Beardmans pics was red and white and i through trout with red throat. We evening caught a red with 13 spots on one side and 8 on the other. Here are a few pics.
