Spent last tues. on ft caswell pier, hoping for a couple of fat late season flounder. Caught 1 short flounder and trout with a 16" flounder and 3 keeper trout in the cooler. Fished a couple hours wed morning and added a 19" trout for the ride home. Using live mullet.

You're probably right, was boat less and stuck onshore. What water temp. do you inshore guys stop fishing?
