Fishing Bear and I went to his farm near Enfield today to try our luck at the local streams and had a modicum of success. Bear caught a nice bass and I got a couple of bream. The interesting thing is this ... the first bream I caught was on a line that had been flipped over a tree limb (very tight casting area). The fish hit the bait and I started reeling in. When the fish was nearly at the limb, I gave a tug to try and clear it. Well, the fish did about three loops around the limb. I tried everything I could to get the fish back into the water but succeeded only in breaking my line. As far as I know, the fish has become bird food. Too bad, too ... would have been good in the pan!

FUNNY THING!! My wife and I were out this afternoon on the Tar river and a good gust of wind caught my cast and I had my line flipped over a bush. My wife laughed at me because I had just been preaching at her a bout learning to cast better. ( she is new at the fishing thing) I told her to hold on and watch.... so I let it soak a few minutes hoping since it was live bait ( worm) I might hook a bream and sure enough..BAM!! Actually ended up being a small Large mouth! I pulled him up to the limb and flipped him right over... Only decent thing I caught all day..LOL Guess deep cover is holding all the fish!!
