If you're spin fishing I've always caught the most on just a few of the most popular baits/lures, I know you're aware of what those are. I look forward to seeing a report with pics! Good luck!
I like the section just down from Franklin, if you float. If you want to wade, the Needmore G.L. section is nice too. May get crowded in some sections, but most are floaters or swimmers. White swim baits and Rapalas in CD7 worked for years for me. Don't forget the 1/4 oz. white roostertails.
Rivers been a little muddy, just depends on where the latest storms have hit. If you can't deal with muddy water try the Nantahala, it stays clearer and has had some pretty good fish in it. James
Had a good day. Caught 5 smallies, a spot, largemouth, monster bluegill, 5 rock bass, a crappie, and had a small muskie follow lure in. I will be back again.
