I'm taking a good friend fishing down the neuse river tomorrow past New Bern and was wondering where I can get some mud minnows from. I don't know If NSS has them, and the girl on the phone wasn't very helpful. Is there anywhere that far inshore that has mud minnows? I have a cast net but usually dont have much luck finding the baitfish. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Buy a minnow trap and drop in on a dock loaded with...bread...catfood...or my favorite. ..a crushed blue crab...U will have all you need.

Were headed to Dawson creek.

I might try the trap if all else fails if I can get my hands on one.

You can get a minnow trap at Wal Mart is all else fails. Just make sure to rinse it after use.
