I say yes, there are many people moving in and out of NC, and they have no ideas where to begin. I have been in my area for a few years and I am still finding public areas almost every week. Good topic and I do support it.
Sure Thing. Any additional information that is accurate can only be deemed as a positive thing. I use the NCWC website for Game Lands, landings, ...etc. But public waters would be great. I'm for it.
While I would love a good guide, at the same time there are a number of places I would rather not see the tourists swarming all over.
That said, if you do not do it somebody else will, so you may as well do it and make sure it is done right. There is enough tourist traffic around here to sell it, and these days self publishing is very easy if you do not want to go through a publisher.
My motto has always been to leave a "fishing hole" or "camping area" cleaner than it was initially found. "Tourists" would be looking for that location that would yield high numbers. "Tourists" will not be concerned with preservation.
These areas would quickly become over fished littered with more trash than the state could pick up. As selfish as it may seem, I would much rather meet that avid fisherman looking for their next great adventure than "Joe Tourist" who slayed them and left his trash to prove it. I have absolutely no problem sharing information with the real deal on a site such as this....
Lol, I hope that I didn't ruffle any feathers.....
with all the bases in the Carolina's it would be a great idea in my eyes. And with people moving in from all areas it will be extremelly helpful to new folks to the area
