One of the best baits there is on a trout stream when they are around. Great for bass and gills too

during the rare years of full-blown hatches in missouri (when you'd crunch 'em on every step in the woods), we used to hook 'em weightless (live) and throw 'em topwater for bass. sometimes the real big ones would try to fly off on the cast. ha. but they make all kinds of commotion on the surface, and saw some of the biggest blowups ever with largemouth busting 'em ...
