Im going to be headed to Shakleford on saturday. I will likely be there all day and was thinking of bringing my fly gear along to fish from the surf. I was curious if anyone had a recent report from that area? I was going to do the typical clouser and see what happens but thought id check for some input here.

Fishweather has it 10-15 mph SW all day saturday. Sounds like tough fly fishing to me.
Man I was so excited to see the lack of storms I didnt even check the wind. I could just go on the other side of the island though. Doesnt SW wind blow toward the inlet from off shore?

Fly fishing the surf needs complete calm winds, bluebird skies & fish in the suds.
Winter months are best for seeing them in close........ ICM
