Or maybe a good time to go through the tackle boxes and straighten up the mess.
Bad news is, the Tackle Monkey LOVES this kinda weather.... Be strong, hold on to your wallets, and chalk up as many "brownie points" with ya' sweety as you can stand...LOL !!!!!
I'm going to see the folks this weekend, maybe I can grill a burger in the carport...

I'm gonna install some new electronics on a buddies boat Saturday after work, then hopefully get to the fish Sunday before they wake up and realize what i'm doing, then go home and relax

Heading down to Charlotte tomorrow for a family reunion and the only thing I have on my mind right now is Bass Pro Shops...............HELP!!!!!!!!!!!..............I have to drive right past it!

Going off shore next Saturday out of Southport. Gonna try to do some fishing around the Lockwood Folly Inlet at Oak Island next Friday evening.

Funny how things work. SC legislature over rode a veto to pass legislation designed to attract BPS to a specific site about 30 miles from me. I just can't get excited about it. I'm hoping to be back closer to saltwater before they get it open.

It's only gonna get worse. Words out that Cabela's is trying to buy a 60 acre tract on Buckhorn Rd. Mebane, NC on I-40/85. Can you imagine a convoy of fishermen leaving Charlotte heading for Carteret County via I-85/US70--BPS in Concord, Cabelas in Mebane, Neuse in Kinston. ( I believe Neuse has a fellow manually operating the stoplight switch inside their store--If you are towing boat, have rod holders,or driving an old white Jeep Cherokee--you get the red light.) Lew's down in Havelock has them all beat on prices, but money runs out before getting there. Most probable these good ole boys won't catch any fish but will pay attention to who's using what that does, so they will have to buy another load on the way home. Ain't fishing a great SPORT!

Stopped at Dick's in Wilmington ( Kerr Ave if there's more than one ) and they had a Gulp Alive poster and an unassembled rack laying in the floor. No Gulp Alive!

I picked some Gulp Alive up at Tex's. He had plenty as he bought "truck load". Still a very limited selection of colors and shapes but plenty of what he does have.

I got sucked in to AK McCallum's this weekend.... uhg..... Only went out for some soda and ice.. came back with the dreaded $80 bag you could fit a brownie in...

but had a good time with family and friends as we celebrated the 4th this weekend.
