The Jon Boat club fished a two day tournament at Lake Mackintosh. It was rainy and cold both days. Water temps have dropped 5 or 6 degrees over the last week. Most guy's were predicting anywhere from 40-45 pounds to win. I guess the weather and cooling water turned them off some.
Day one started out misting rain and no wind. Water temps were 62 degrees at launch. Fish were not real active but fish were still hitting topwaters and spinnerbaits. Of course the wormers still caught fish too.
Day one leaders had 18-11, second had 16-4. Crankbaits, buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Several wormers right on their heels though. Big fish was 6-6
Day two started rainy and a lot cooler. Fish were not very agreeable with the moving baits. Wormers dominated the day!!!!
Day two leaders had 17-8, second had 17-3 and big fish was 7-3. Almost every decent bass was caught on a wacky rig. Wormers took the top 5 spots for the tournament. Day one leaders had 3 pounds and 2 pounds respectively.
Total weight for first was 33-10, second was 28-3, and big fish was the 7-3 from day two.
