Headed to the area of the Same Ole yesterday for some Mahi action. The bite started a little slow at first but after making some adjustments to fishing areas we picked at some mostly quality fish for most of the day. The bigger bite came in the afternoon. We ended up with a dozen mahi and one skip tuna for the day. Not bad for the first trip out this year.

The two largest

The biggest fish kicked my butt. I've never had a fish so stubborn. It was at least a 20 minute battle of brute force. It gave true meaning to pulling a brick wall. At the end of the battle I don't believe I could have cranked on the reel one more turn. You would have thought I had just reeled in a 600lb. tuna. But that's the kinda things that make memories.
