Im in Concord, NC. Would like to get to the coast when the Mahi and near shore, say, within 10 miles or so.
Can someone advise if they are near that boundary? Thanks in advance!!!

Saw a report of Mahi being caught at honeymoon rock off new river. Not sure they are there in numbers though

Last week during the big rock, we were seeing flying fish as close as 10 miles out. That normally tells the tell. They will follow the dinner and dinner is close in.

Not my report, this is from another site on Tuesday....

Went out 15 miles from CB inlet to first live bottom we could find. Started fishing around 7:30. Caught 6 mahi by 10 am. 5 were slingers and 1 gaffer was over 40 inches. We were cooking lunch by 12pm.

Fish were biting pink and green skirts with small ballywho.

We were not that far out afew weeks ago and picked up two nice gaffers and about a dozen p-nuts. Tossed the Pnuts back. Most were on a squid daisy chain flat line pink color also.
