Managed a couple hours each on Big Horse Creek and Helton Creek today. Saw very few least where I was. Fish are still pretty cooperative but water levels are getting lower in both (especially Big Horse I thought) ...perhaps forecast showers will help. Talking to a couple of other guys and comparing were hitting wooly buggers, small black nymphs (hares ear, stonefly, prince) and some caddis larva patterns. Fish seem to be pretty spread out...scattered in pockets, ledges, rocks etc....with a couple of exceptions. Not much time left for Delayed Harvest. But a check of the stocking schedule by county shows that a number of streams will continue to get stocked in July and Aug....
