My Mercury seems to have a fuel problem. It will run fine for 4-5 min and then I lose rpm and it wants to die, seems starved for fuel.

I have replaced fuel filter, bulb and line from tank, even tried external fuel source to make sure problem not in tank, no success.

Spark plugs look great and when it runs it sounds great.

Any suggestions?

If I were a betting man I would say dirty fuel injectors or dirty VST. On a Yamaha the VST isn't fun to get to so I would start with injectors. They are very easy to remove. If you don't have someone local with an ultrasonic cleaner then you should remove them and send them to the Injector Inspector in Morehead City. He charges $20 per injectors and does awesome work
