Today was a very good Pomoxis Annularis kind of day on Kerr Lake/Buggs Island. Started out at the boat ramp at 8 am and finished about 4p. The bite changed as the day transitioned so we had to change our fishing style to keep up with the fish. Kept 32 and about 2 1/2 times that were caught. Just finished cleaning and putting them in the freezer.
It was my first time fishing with fishdoc aka Keith. I'm semi retired and live very close to the lake so I hired him to start the crappie education process. Keith is an encyclopedia of knowledge about the crappie, fishing on Kerr Lake. He is also a heck of a fisherman and guide. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and will hire him again to continue the education.
