My brother and I hit the Yadkin today, hoping for some big cats and hopefully a late striper. Had a little trouble locating bait, but we eventually put enough shad in the tank to fish for a little while. Went to our striper honey hole first and immediately caught a few channel cats. After the bite died down there we moved downstream to try some deeper water with no luck. Finally we found a good lay down in a deeper bend where my brother caught a nice 6 lb channel. Our bellies were growling something fierce by that point so we decided to head to the house. Not a great day, but I've had worse.
