Got on the water for a couple hours this morning. Searching for bass and found a couple and also a couple crappie. One bass on a magnum trick work and the other on a shad rap crank. The two crappie hit the crank as well.

My baby's due date is today but no action yet. Stubborn already.....he got that honest.

I'll usually catch quite a few throughout the year by normal bass fishing techniques but fishing brush is my favorite. Bobby garlands baby shad or grub under a float. I caught both of the crappie from today at a fallen pine tree.

Did you fall off the (flyfishing) wagon? Thought you'd sworn off conventional tackle.

Haven't fell off the flyfishing wagon.....or sworn off conventional tackle. I'm considering myself a "multi-instrumentalist" at this point. Haha. I've grown to enjoy certain types of fishing more with one method or the other. I enjoy them both.
