Got out on Gaston Lake this am and was covered up in striped bass all morning. I caught all fish on white and green bucktails with flukes and worms for trailers.
The fish are schooled up in 30 feet of water and feeding heavily early and late.

nice job....explain your rig if you dont mind sharing....3 way swivel?

Yes on the three way swivel. Use a short leader like three foot and use a heavy one oz jig. Then a longer leader five foot plus and tie a lighter jig, say a quarter oz. This will create spread.

We caught a few shorts along with a bass and the biggest white perch I've ever seen, but boat traffic was ridiculous on Gaston this weekend. I couldn't have fished in a kayak if I wanted to. Pop put 1 on his boat too. Fish were scattered in 50 feet of water. How'd you do Tazzman?
