Congratulations on your awesome success SUCHFUN, 18 Stripers is quite a catch.

I saw these things advertised in the back of a fishing magazine with a black and white add that looked like a newspaper report. I have always wondered who buys these things and if they actually work. Guess I know now.

Check out the advertisement picture:

You know it’s a high quality product when taxidermy mounts are used for a "live action shot" of the lure.

Here’s a nice picture of the inventor Scott Wilson with a ten-pound bass:

Way to go Scott!!!

Tournament Bass fishermen beware; you might want to wait until the Tournament Officials come to an official ruling regarding this lure. Check out this quote from the article:

"Curiously, the company may have designed it too well. Tournament fishermen who have used it said its possible officials will not allow it in contests where live bait is prohibited."

I just tried calling Roy Scott of BASS and was told he could not come to the phone as he and the Tournament Officials of the Ethics Committee are having a conference at this very moment regarding the kick tail. :D

That ad reminds me of the Golf Ball ads in the back of golf digest, you know the one - the black and white one that looked like a newspaper article but at the top said "paid advertisment". It too claimed the ball might be banned from tournament play. They must have used the same ad agency.
I communicated with SUREFUN (good guy BTW) by email to confirm his results with the lure. He loves it and had a great day on the water! I might have to try it. :)

Sounds like old Scott has a universal formula for success. Funny thing is if he would take a little bit of the money he has been "earning" and applied it to a better advertising campaign he might have something.

There has been an ad for a "miracle ear" system that has been running equally cheesy ads in the back of guitar magazines for as long as I can remember.
Dont know if anyone saw it but i read an article in North Carolina Sportsman about these lures. They went to some lake in Florida and let 4 guys use live bait etc. The other 4 guys used this same lure I believe and outfished the other guys about 48-14
One of my buddies tried a similar lure. It had even more segments than the one shown above to make it more "life-like". He got it a couple years ago. The last time I fished with him I saw it on his boat and it was all rusty so I asked about it. He said it cost a lot of money and never caught one fish.
