They look and feel great. Exposed blank, Super lightweight but with a good medium strength and a nice fast tip. As light as it is you can still tell it's gonna be able to flex some muscle. Fuji guides and NO FLIMSY CLEAR TIP! @ a sweet price of 49.95 on BPS. I got the 7'6” Medium. Can't wait to pair it up with my new Shimano Symetre 2500 ).

I have one of the very old Ugly Sticks, 6 1/2 foot. I've never particularly liked the flimzy tip, but it is the toughest rod I've ever had. I think it is about 25 year old now, and could be a bit older. Been thrown around everywhere. Ever get a rod you don't particularly like, but won't go away? I am sure thse newer Ugly Sticks are much better.

MY father gave me Lott Brothers custom rod that he had made in the early 80's. It's on an uglystick blank it is a little whippy, but bullet proof. The original penn 712 fell apart on me a couple weeks ago. I have two 7' uglystick intercoastals casting rods that I like and a 7 1/2 uglystick light with a 300 series sargus with ten pound braid. the latter is probably my favorite rod of the moment. I'll to check the indhore select out. Let us know how it works.

I'll have it out Tuesday and post a review for you guys, hopefully we can test it on a fish too! Haha. I have had basically nothing but different types of Ugly sticks. They are great for big stripers and the sturdy stiks are great for jigging blues. This rod is nothing like them. It feels and looks like a high end inshore rod. The clear tip not being on this one was a definite plus for me, it's more of an even tapered rod. Good back bone, fast tip, should be a great trout rod.
