NC sabiki rigging nearshore

Lets say I am trying to catch bait on a sabiki rig no more than a mile offshore just outside the inlet in North Carolina (specifically OKI). What bait fish can I expect to catch on a sabiki rig? Will pogi eat a sabiki rig?

Durring Summer, you will catch juvenile jacks, cigar minnows and a few scad species. Pogies are filter feeders and will not typically hit a lure.

Find a buoy or any floating debris and there will be bait. Also, watch your chartplotter, bait will be easily seen.
