Black Bass
F19. Lake Raleigh (Wake County)—Remove the exception that allows the
harvest of two bass less than 14 inches in length within the five fish daily
creel limit.
Justification: This proposal will protect smaller bass, which are not
abundant in the lake.
F20. Cane Creek Lake (Union County)—Reduce the 18-inch minimum size
limit to 16 inches.
Justification: This proposal will allow additional harvest of bass and
should improve their condition.
F21. South Yadkin River—Remove the exception that allows the harvest of
two bass less than 14 inches in length within the five fish daily creel limit
downstream of Cooleemee Dam.
Justification: This proposal will simplify regulations by standardizing
rules with those of the Yadkin River and High Rock Lake.
