My wife {fishing buddy} and I want to go out in the sound fishing we have a 17 foot Lowe aluminum boat. Can anyone give me some tips safety/fishing otherwise. I have gone out with a buddy in SC before in his 17 logic but I want to hit somewhere closer maybe around Wrightsville.

If you want to fish the WB area, launch at the Wildlife ramp next to the WB bridge. Then head south to Masonboro inlet and fish the jetties on the inside. That's a great place to start.

3" Gulp! shrimp on a 1/4 or 3/8 ounce lead jighead or live mullet on a Carolina rig are two fairly easy ways to get started as well.
