Caught my pb blue catfish about 15 min ago on the neuse. I'm guessing 20 pounds and was a good bit longer than my yak is wide. I'm guessing 35 inches and very tall bodied like blues are. Unfortunately it made an untimely exit off my kayak before I was ready....... 3 feet of water on a small live bream. As soon as I engaged the reel the water exploded and I thought I had hooked the world record bow fin lol.

Congrats!! I went out chasing a 20#er last night but only caught bowfin. Lost a decent cat though. Hoping to go back tomorrow.

Caught another flathead before I left about 20 inches. Gave it to some guys bank fishing and he promptly told his buddy he had caught it lol.

Ha ha. I had him on my lap and he wanted back in the water. He started sliding headfirst off my lap. I held onto the tail as long as I could but we know catfish aren't the most grippy of surfaces and he soon got loose and made it back. Really kind of made me sick because I know it may be a while before I catch another that size..

I understand, had something similar happen in April. I was thinking about how he would taste...I am sure it would have been great best I ever had....

Yes brenardo. 3 feet of water! I've never had so much activity. Lost 2 bream when the fish pulled them off.
