Does anybody know what the bass are doin in the early spring in the neuse near Goldsboro. I Fished last summer and fall and cleaned up around the Sam Casey bridge. I've tried a few times the past month or two and have been skunked.

It spinnerbait time in the old Neuse in the spring. I also like a Rattlin Rogue, black with silver sides and orange belly, that orange really turns em on.

Well, now someone is in my neighboor hood. I only put my boat in when the river is above 7 feet. But, when it is that high there are 3 spots I usually go in particular in the spring. I put in at Whitetail landing and either head north to the Little river where that dumps in or I head towards the base and there are two other creeks one empties into the neuse and one flows out of the neuse. The are some good spots. never know might run into you one of these day out there. I know there was a few days this fall where it got high enough and I was killing em with a bill dance swimmin image. They work pretty well in the spring too but I like my lizard then.
