I am quite sure that i read a request from Fish and Game over the past years to NOT release any of the flats one caught in the Neuse. Called the introduction into the Yadkin , one of the worst decisions for native fish ever.
I would be curious to see something from them to see what they do with them.
Unless of course Mack, you can tell me this is "the word".
Thanks.
they only kill them where they are new to the watershed.....in a place where they have been for years they know they would get grief from anglers and they also know they are wasting there time to kill the few they shock up.
click on the second picture and this was a quote from them
"The fish collected during the fish-sampling work on the Neuse River were identified by species, measured, weighed, allowed to recover in an onboard holding tank, and then released back into the Neuse River"
so I guess this is the "word"
