Abu Garcia has discontinued the Blue Yonder several times over the years only to bring back the long time favored distance casting reels.
Only this time they brought them back offering a 7000 series version so they are available in the 6500 and 7000 series reels. They are sweet.
This news made my day. I love the Blue Yonders. They are amazingly smooth on the cast. Both series are priced at 250 dollars from ABU. I gotta get a few of these.

I'm also very interested in the new 7000 & really like the looks of em. I'm still fishing my old red converted Swede made 7000 don't think I could ever part ways with her.

I've used the 6500 yonder c3ct since mid 90's. Ceramic bearings, rocket fuel, mag overhaul and no brakes. Smooth as silk. Has hauled in plenty channel bass in Buxton. Theyll last forever.
