I'm heading up to New Bern this weekend or next weekend to do some fishing with my Uncle, and I'm not familiar with the area. He does have a boat. Any idea what I should target to give us the best opportunity at catching some fish? I was debating between fishing for stripers and LM bass nearby or if it'd be a better opportunity to head closer to Morehead to fish inshore for flounder, trout, and drum. Any suggestions on what fish or general areas around that may be good right now would be appreciated!

Regards,

-Justin

Thanks! I appreciate the help. That's what I was leaning towards as well. I wasn't sure what to fish for them with. I saw the post from a couple weeks ago with the guys using those eel soft plastics at the trestles, which I found interesting. I've never fished for stripers before, and I hear it's a lot of fun. Hopefully, I'll be able to find a couple.
