Just was wondering if anyone has been catching any fish in the new bern area (striper). Looking at heading up tomorrow with my son and fishing, just want to see if it would be worth my 2hr drive or not.

Winds gonna be blowing tom....there have been stripers caught BUT if i were you, and the roanoke was closer/not much farther....THAT'S where you should go for stripers right now

Is that area big enough for a 22ft nautic star? I know to us the boat ramp off of hwy 45 but do i head up river or towards the bay?

Never mind hit the bridge area and head towards plymouth. Ill just take it slow.

you'll be fine, roanoke is plenty deep in most areas, Just keep an eye out for logs flowing in the current as at times that can be a little dicey... The fish SHOULD be almost everywhere from williamston down to the bay by now.. they're catchin plenty where your talkin bout going
