I like the idea there! And with a trolling motor that thing is a flat water machine. The cool thing is...with a bit of engineering you have rod storage in one pontoon and a livewell/baittank in the other.

Large enough pontoons and its capable of some pretty big water also.

More like a pontoon boat to me, but like you said, it has lots of potential, especially in salt water inshore waters. Very universal also. I like the sail and the peddle system. Awesome stability.

From reading the article this was just one guy who thought he could build it better. He went through a lot of failed ideas but in the end I think he shows that perseverance can win out.

Here's a video from this guys website showing how the Duck feet pedal system works. Interesting concept. A lot of inventions originate by observing wildlife ie Wright brothers.

The worst thing about a pontoon is the water draw.
They'll draw twice the water a hull will because they have less hull surface area and volume.
Twice the hull below the water you have to move through the water.
