Noobie to boating, and lake fishing. Hoping for tips on W kerr scott. Taking the kids soon, would like to keep their interest more then a minute. I've been there 4 times so far, with little luck. (I understand skill can be a factor). Really would like to know how air/water temps, spawn times, and all this rain might affect the bite, and tips on bait and hot spots more than appreciated.

Welome aboard....

When things are slow....drop the trolling motor and cast out some beetle spins and ease around any
type of vegetation or stickups that may be in the area....good way to pick up some quick bream or small bass.
Gives the kids something to take there mind off of just sitting around.

Buy a minnow bucket and get some minnows. I f the fish aren't biting the kids can play with them. Also rig up the kids poles with a cork and use worms for baits. Fish near the banks.
