I'm new to the site and looking for others in the area that enjoy fishing. I work in the restaurant business so I work mainly nights which leaves most days free for a few hours of fishing. I'm usually off on Mondays and Tuesdays so those are the main days that I try to fish. I'm up for traveling to fish as long as I'm on the lake for a few hours. I'd like to find some areas that are good for bass and catfish. I've been fishing for years but just the basic small ponds and whatnots. I've just started catfishing but have enjoyed it and would like to find an area that has more consistency.

Welcome to the site.
;)welcome to the party.Where we never louse a fsh. Catfsh tucker town dam!!!!!!!!!!:)
Thanks everyone. I found your site a few weeks ago and have already learned a bunch from it. Now I'm excited to find some people to meetup with and do some fishing.
You will meet quality people here, considering that it's the internet it's actually quite impressive. I have made a lot of new friends here, and where I used to almost always fish alone because I didn't know anyone who wanted to go, I have more people with whom I want to go fishing than I have time to do it.

Welcome to the site I used to fish around Pinehurst many years ago.

I fact I was asked to leave PineHurst and never come back when I was 15. In my defense the sign said "Closed till after tournament, absolutely NO Golfers on the course" It seemed like the perfect time to do some fishing

I would have seen that as pertaining to golfers, not fishermen. I don't see their beef. ;) That's a good looking pond / lake they have down there, I can't say I blame ya.

Yeah I've been asked to leave those courses also. I work for Pinehurst now so I can get on the lakes occasionally when it's not busy.

Mvinson,

It was 1978, I was almost 16, not really a trouble maker but prone to fish first and ask questions later. Of all of the golf courses, business holding ponds, and watershed lakes that I got ran away from Pinehurst was the most impressive and was done by the nicest guy that ever asked me to leave anywhere. In fact after coming out to run us off, he made the trip back to the maintenenace shed, the long way around and gave me time to make half a dozen cast to a huge bass cruising the back of the pond. She weighed almost 8 lbs on the Zebco De-Liar that I carried in my tackle box. I wish I knew his name I would like to think him for being so nice to a couple of trespassing kids.

Yeah for a golf community they are really nice when they ask you to leave. I've found I have the best luck fishing there late afternoons anyways so they don't mind since I'm not bothering the golfers.
