Hit the New in Virginia with a fishing buddy yesterday. The water has been all over the place, but in the last few days has dropped and cleared, and it dropped like a rock all day. We caught about 30 smallies, largest 17, lots of 14-15". Also caught 2 redeyes and a carp . The green slime has gotten pretty bad and was a challenge except in the deep holes, which is where the fish were. Several of the fish had some really nice colors.
Really looking forward to the fall bite.
