Hit the new river today. My buddy and I started off with our usual 3in senko ( actually it was a BPS Stick-O) with not a a lot of luck, a couple of redeye but no smallies. I then made the switch to one of my "confidence baits", a Camo Powerbait tube with a jig. Shortly after switching, i hooked into a 15 3/4 in Monster. The fun part of it was it was on 6lb test as i had forgot to switch spools today. hope everyone enjoys the pics.

Real nice smallie, also good job catching it on that lite weight gear. But that whats makes it so much fun the thrill of knowing who is going to win. Did you and your friend wade the whole time, never fished the New River yet, but my day is coming.
