kalbe, As Far As Bass, Slow Is Bess, Not In All Cases. Lots Of Folks Use Rattle Traps This Time Of Year, And Deep Diving Crank Baits. Slow Rolling Spinner Bait, This Time Of Year Bass Are In Deep Water And Moving Slow, You Have Got To Put The Bait Right In Front Of There Face To Get A Bite, You Can Forget A Reaction Bite In The Winter. Worms Work Good Worked Slow On A Carolina Rig. Try Using The Search Feature On The Web Site, Lots Of Good Info There..................chris

This first good cold snap should put the slow into the bass. Small jigs, small worms, worked very slowly - combine them and put a small worm on a jig head (shakey head style).

If you can find a smaller body of water with good exposure to the sun it might be a good bit warmer than larger lakes or rivers and you can work some faster moving baits. A better bet may be minnows under suspended off the bottom 6-12 inches for crappie.
