Welcome... I'm afraid I don't know much about either carp or catfishing, but there are some forum members who do. Peruse the freshwater fishing section and the Piedmont reports section, and see if you find some folks who do some of that style around here.

Welcome to NCAngler!

Welcome to the site. Do a search (top right corner of this page) on carp, and you'll find a lot of info there.

I don't know anything about catching carp, but they are in there. And there are some good bass in there too, if you can find them in the right mood.

If your into tournament carp fishing you should try Bailey's carp ponds in Mocksville, my roomate here at ASU is the son of the owner and helps run the place and they have some excellent tournaments from time to time. Great carp management and a fun place to bring the kids

^pops is great too, with pond carp fishing making your own baits will serve you well, corn pops, molasses and your choice of ingredients will let you know what they are biting, its trial and error but when you figure it out you will be hooked!
