Just wanted to say hey! I am new to this site as well as NC. I will be fishing in the Pamlico River around North Creek and the Pungo. Have not fished much in the last 2 decades except from the surf. Fished these areas a few times last year with little success. I would appreciate any tips for these areas.

Welcome to the boards. Shad raps in the shad patterns and if it's cold or the water temp hasn't gone up you may have to go to jig fishingn with a a black and blue jig or texas craw or Slocum Craw. If your a plastic fishermen(worms) black and black and blue shad seem to be the ticket but be ready to fish slow.
