I've always live in NC but I'm new to the site. I have fished off and on most of my life. Now my kids have taken an interest so I'm trying to learn about some of the local spots. And maybe this old dog can learn a few new tricks.

Welcome aboard. Glad you've joined us! Great motivation for fishing...time with the kids! My daughter is now 20 and her first comment when she came home for college last week, "dad when can we go old drum fishing? Or fishing for anything?!" That does a dad's heart good! :D

Welcome to the site you will enjoy it, you will also find out that it is a kid-friendly place. Letting us know the general are that you live in would help with suggestions on fishing. Any thing I can do or answer for you about the area around from I-77 on up into the Eastern Mountains just ask.

I'm in Hillsborough, north of Chapel Hill. We have been fishing a few spots on the Eno and made a couple trips up to Hyco Lake.

I grew up in Chatham Co. and fished Jordan Lake, Rocky River and Deep river area. Any place that we can run to in the evening after work are GREAT.

I'm sure glad I found this site!!!!

New to the area from Cali. Long time bass fisherman. Loving the lakes and local ponds out here. Got whooped at Lake Wheeler on Memorial Day. Plan to give it another go sometime, but been having most my luck at Benson. Glad I found this forum of local fisherman
